Tasting Notes
Mid to deep plum red in colour and of brilliant clarity. The nose shows lifted dark berry fruits combined with vanilan oak. The palate is rich and fruity and is supported with fine-grained grape tannins. The finish is long and with well balanced acidy.

Cellaring
Drink now or cellar for 3 - 5 years.

Winemaking Notes
This wine was fermented in open top vats with twice-daily hand plunging followed by pressing and malo lactic in tank. Oak maturation has been kept to a minimum to enhance fruit flavours while still providing some oak sweetness and tannin. Prior to bottling this wine was fined with skim milk and lightly filtered.

Viticultural Notes
2003 was warm and dry producing fruit with excellent colour and flavour.
