Tasting Notes
Deep plum red in colour. The nose is complex showing dark berry fruits combined with a touch of pepper, savoury and earthy characters. The palate shows ripe berry fruit with good middle palate weight. A long finish with soft sweet tannins and well balanced acidity.

Cellaring
5 to 8 years

Winemaking Notes
The fruit for this wine came from our Eyton and Dalry Road vineyards. The two batches were fermented separately in open top tanks. The wine from our Eyton vineyard was matured for 18 months in new French oak while the other batch was matured in new and seasoned French oak barriques. The wines were blended prior to bottling and received a light filtration.

Viticultural Notes
2001 was a warm year with excellent colour and flavour development in Shiraz.
