Tasting Notes
Deep plum red in colour. The nose is complex showing dark berry fruits combined with vanillan oak and some earth and spicy characters. The palate is rich and full-bodied with good fruit and oak integration and nicely balanced acidity. A long finish with soft sweet tannins.

Cellaring
5 to 8 years.

Winemaking Notes
The fruit for this wine came from our Hill Road block. Fermented in open top and rotary tanks. Matured for 18 months in new and seasoned American oak barriques. Prior to bottling this wine was egg white fined and received a light filtration.

Viticultural Notes
2001 was a warm year with excellent colour and flavour development in Cabernet Sauvignon.
